Diversity & Inclusion
At the BCCJ, we are committed to advancing Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), and this runs through everything we do. Since April 2012, we have been running D&I programme designed to promote greater understanding of, and develop support mechanisms for, the growth of diverse groups in the workplace in Japan.
Small is Great
In 2011, the BCCJ launched it "Small is Great" programme, designed to create an open platform for entrepreneurs and SMEs to build networks and leverage success stories. Around 35% of BCCJ member companies are SMEs, and SiG provides these members with an excellent, dedicated platform for business exchange and development.
The BCCJ is proud to be a founding member of the Rugby Alliance, a coalition of eight international chambers of commerce in japan. The mission of the Alliance is to support Japan’s delivery of a 2019 rugby tournament, "fostering a legacy of more inclusive communities that embrace opportunities for international business and exchange".
