This year’s British Chamber of Commerce in Japan (BCCJ) Golf Day, the “2024 BCCJ Cup” was held at the Gold Tochigi President’s Country Club on Friday, Novemember 22, 2024.

Organised by the BCCJ Golf Taskforce, the event welcomed 52 players from the BCCJ and wider network for a sunny, social day out on the Jack Nicklaus-designed course.

Against a very scenic autumnal landscape, there were fabulous prizes up for grabs, including Domestic flights from Jetstar, sausages from the Fuji Butcher, vouchers at Swan & Lion and many, many more.

After golfers played 18 holes in a Texas Scramble format, Richard Straughan (Director at Rosetta Stone Learning Center), head of the BCCJ Golf Taskforce opened the prize-giving ceremony.

The BCCJ Cup 2024 swung into action with 50+ golfers in Tochigi, proving once again that business and bogeys go hand in hand! I’d like to thank the weather gods once again for their exceptional support, as well as the club for their hospitable service. A huge thank you also goes to all the sponsors who generously donated some great prizes—and in vast quantities, too. We hope to see you again next year! I’m sure the time will fly, even if my drives did not.

Our 2024 Winners

Congratulations to Rob Nicholson & Anton Nabseth for storming to victory and claiming their place as our BCCJ Cup 2024 champions.

Their names will now be etched into the BCCJ Cup history, joining the long list of victors dating back to 1951.

2nd: Iain Ferguson & William Ramsay
3rd: Eika Yoshitani and Eranga Wasalange
