Last night, Japan’s First Lady, Akie Abe, made a visit to 2019 British Business Awards winner RYOZAN PARK (RZP), whose founders were named “Entrepreneur of the Year” at the BBA2019 ceremony on November 8.

Mrs Abe enjoyed a tour of the Sugamo property, where she took in a children’s painting lesson and informal fireside chat with residents.

Ryozan Park was founded in 2012, by Japanese-Scottish couple, Nori Takezawa and Rachel Ferguson, who had a vision to create in Tokyo “a village within a city”.

The RZP brand has spun an international community committed to work-life balance, diversity, gender equality and entrepreneurialism.

Today, RZP is Tokyo’s only company offering integrated accommodation, offices and childcare, which the owners describe as “an oasis in the corporate jungle”.
