2019 Rugby World Cup Updates

On September 20th, the Rugby World Cup 2019 will kick-off in Japan, marking the first time the event has been held in an Asian country. As part of this momentous event in both Japanese and sporting history, the BCCJ is working closely with our Rugby Alliance parters to bring you several exciting events in the lead-up the RWC2019, such as the upcoming Diversity in Rugby Event (March 26). Rugby World Cup Fest at Shizuoka Stadium ECOPA with Pro-Rugby Player, Ayumu Goromaru

With the 2019 RWC occupying space in everyone’s mind, Shizuoka invites you to join it’s Rugby World Cup Festa event on March 3 from 10:00-15:00. The event will feature appearances from top rugby stars,a flea market, wine seminar and plenty of live music – all free of charge! Rugby World Cup 2019 in Shizuoka – Transport Subsidy

As part of a promotional effort, the Shizuoka prefectural government is offering a transport subsidy for spectators travelling to Shizuoka Stadium ECOPA to watch the RWC 2019.

Direct bus to the Stadium!
Customize your own unique itinerary and visit famous tourist attratcions! Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Eligibility Requirements
A group booking of a tour bus (min. 15 pax) is required. Shizuoka representatives will guide you through the booking process.

Subsidy of up to ¥100,000!
The Shizuoka prefectural government will cover half of your transport fee.
Departures outside Shizuoka Prefecture: max subsidy of ¥100,000.
Departures within Shizuoka Prefecture: max subsidy of ¥50,000.
