By the close of the British Business Awards 2024 (#BBA2024) nomination period, we received 44 eligible nominations across six categories, showcasing a wide range of talent and innovation.

In the newly announced BBA Responsible Business category, the following  are now in contention for the coveted trophy.

BBA Responsible Business

“Nominees for the BBA2024 Responsible Business award must have demonstrated exceptionally effective responsible business initiatives in Japan over the past 12 months. This category encompasses overall sustainability efforts, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) integration, Social impact, Environmental impact, and/or Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Nominees should not be NPOs.”

AstraZeneca Japan 

AstraZeneca Japan (hereafter AZKK) has been pioneering the first-ever carbon-free Shinkansen business trips using renewable energy in collaboration with Japan Railway Companies (hereafter JR). This initiative aligns with our global decarbonisation goals and showcases our commitment to sustainability and innovation in addressing Scope 3 emissions.

Barclays Japan is committed to building a stronger and more inclusive economy that’s better for everyone.
