2022 JET Programme Career Fairs – Apply for your Virtual Booth!

Looking to recruit talented, ambitious and internationally-minded individuals with experience working in Japanese organisations and familiarity with Japan’ s unique business culture? The 2022 JET Programme Career Fairs is your chance!

What is the JET Programme?

The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme is administered through the collaboration of Japan’ s local government authorities, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR). Aiming primarily to promote grassroots internationalisation at the local level, the JET Programme invites young college graduates from around the world to participate in internationalisation initiatives and be involved in foreign language education at Japan’s local government offices, Boards of Education, elementary schools, junior high schools, and senior high schools. The JET Programme has gained high acclaim both domestically and overseas for being one of the world’ s largest international exchange programmes.

2022 JET Programme Career Fairs

This year’s JET Programme Career Fairs will be held virtually using the Remo platform, and will be attended by around 300 current JET Programme participants who are looking for business opportunities in Japan. Participating organisations will be asked to hold a virtual booth at one of the following slots:

Saturday, 26 February 10:00-12:00
Saturday, 26 February 14:00-16:00
Saturday, 5 March 10:00-12:00
Saturday, 5 March 14:00-16:00

There will be no open presentations to all attendees. Instead, this will be a chance for current JET Programme participants to learn and ask questions about your organisation. Please use this precious time to connect and exchange details with any potential future hires!

How to get involved

1. Make your initial application to “exhibit” at the 2022 JET Programme Career Fairs HERE
   DEADLINE: Monday, 31 January
2. You will then be asked to submit company details to CLAIR. At this stage, please mention that your organisation is a BCCJ member.
3. CLAIR will review all applications, and if selected to participate in the 2022 JET Programme Career Fairs, you will be given your selected date and time slot, and sent all necessary documents, including instructions on how to hold a virtual booth using Remo.
