At last night’s 2018 BCCJ Annual General Meeting (AGM), the result of the 2018-2019 BCCJ Executive Committee (Excom) election was announced to BCCJ members.

Held at the Conrad Hotel Tokyo, the meeting was opened by BCCJ Executive Director, Lori Henderson MBE who said it was a pleasure to be calling to order the AGM in the Chamber’s 70th year.

Love & Equality is the theme for the annual Tokyo Rainbow Pride parade that goes from May 5th to May 6th. The British Embassy Tokyo, in collaboration with the BCCJ, will hold a booth to show their support for diversity and acceptance of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities. 2018 marks another year to shake up Japan’s gender and sexuality norms to show the plethora of LBGTQ+ communities that inhabit Tokyo’s 23 wards.
