Founded in 1904, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants is the global professional accounting body offering the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification. The ACCA Qualification is broadly equivalent to a UK university degree standard when you complete the Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exams. When you complete the Strategic Professional exams, it is equivalent to a UK university Master’s degree. In 1974, ACCA even received the UK Royal Charter, recognising the excellent quality of its core professional qualification.
How does the ACCA qualification work?
Students progress through 3 elements of the ACCA Qualification on their journey to ACCA membership:
- ACCA exams
- An Ethics and Professional Skills module, and
- A Practical Experience Requirement
