Sanderson Design Group PLC is a luxury interior furnishings company that designs, manufactures and markets wallpapers, fabrics and paints. It is the proud home of some of the UK’s most respected fabric and wallpaper houses, including Clarke & Clarke, Harlequin, Morris & Co., Sanderson, Scion and Zoffany. In addition, the Company derives licensing income from the use of its designs on a wide range of products such as bed and bath collections, rugs, blinds and tableware.

With a design ethos to bring the beautiful into people’s homes and lives, it is these brands that underpin the group’s values and push design boundaries, showing the breadth of talent, creativity and ingenuity through each brand’s collections.

In-house studios create designs that stir the imagination, bring joy through nostalgia and offer exquisite styles, rich in detail, colour and provenance, referring to our extensive archive as a constant source of inspiration. Our archive, which has recently undergone a full digitisation, is a treasure trove of original documents, designs, block prints and papers, allowing us to reference our past as we design for the modern day across our brand portfolio.

Our strong UK manufacturing base of Anstey Wallpaper Factory in Loughborough and Standfast & Barracks, a fabric printing factory in Lancaster, ensures that each brand produces designs that marry beauty with the very best quality of production, combining modern digital printing techniques with age-old methods. These factories produce all our printed fabrics and wallpapers and support our ambitious goals to be net zero by 2030. We are incredibly proud of our UK factories, the skills and our innovative production methods.

From damasks to illustrative botanicals, nature-inspired prints and archival designs, our wallpapers reflect the breadth of designs and techniques employed, including rotary, gravure, surface and surflex printing, long table and block printing techniques that produce the most exquisite results, recognising traditional techniques and incorporating the most modern advances in digital printing technology. For fabrics, we use our UK factory bases to their best ability, producing beautiful, printed designs across our brands.

When sourcing makers outside of the UK, we have a meticulous process of ensuring the very best mills, weavers, embroiderers and production facilities are partnered with, aligning with our values and demonstrating a broad range of techniques that our brand collections have become known for.

As a group we champion British creativity. Collaborating with artists and supporting talent, we have had the pleasure of working with amazing rising stars in respective industries and continue to support talent through creative partnerships, scholarships and collaborations.

Sanderson Design Group employs approximately 600 people and its products are sold worldwide. It has showrooms in London, New York, Chicago, Paris, Amsterdam and Dubai. Sanderson Design Group trades on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol SDG.
