Voting Season: FY2026-2027 Executive Committee Election

At 13:00 on 6 April 2026, voting opened for the FY2026–2027 Executive Committee Election, an appointment that will shape the Chamber’s direction in the year ahead. From a distinguished field of twenty-two candidates, fifteen will be entrusted with guiding the BCCJ and representing the breadth of its membership.

 

All eligible voters received a secure, individual access code on 6 April 2026, enabling participation in this confidential ballot.

 

The composition of the Executive Committee is not incidental; it is a deliberate balance of judgement, experience, and perspective. Those elected must reflect the diversity and calibre of the business community, bringing the insight and leadership required to advance the interests of the BCCJ and its members.

Introducing the FY2026-2027 Candidate Booklet

 

 

To officially formalise and welcome the candidates to the election, as well as provide our members insight into their reasons for standing, we are pleased to introduce this year's Candidate Booklet.

 

We invite you to use this booklet to help you learn more about each candidate and the reasons why they are standing to represent the Chamber at its highest level.

 

Casting your vote

 

Secure, anonymous and entirely personal, Primary Members are invited to cast their vote via one of two methods.

 

Electronic voting
At 13:00 on 6 April, Primary Members will have received an email containing a secure voting link. Should you believe you are eligible but have not received this communication, please contact the team at [email protected].

 

Postal or proxy voting
Members wishing to vote by post or by proxy are invited to contact the Chamber directly at [email protected]. The relevant documentation will be provided promptly by a member of the team.

 

Executive Committee Election Timeline

 

 

On 17 April 2026, 17:00 JST voting will conclude. Results will be calculated automatically and discreetly recorded. Results will then be shared at the Annual General Meeting on the 23 April 2026.

 

Annual General Meeting - Welcoming the New Committee

 

 

The results of the FY2026-2027 Executive Committee Election will be announced at the Annual General Meeting on 23 April 2026. All members are welcome to join the AGM, but participation is limited to one representative per company and exclusively two for our Platinum Members.

 

Attendance is optional, but we highly encourage you to prioritise the AGM in your calendars.

The Executive Committee election determines which members will guide the strategic direction of the BCCJ for the 2026–2027 Chamber year. In accordance with the BCCJ Constitution, the Committee comprises no fewer than 12 and no more than 15 individuals.

 

The application period for the 2026–2027 Executive Committee and Presidential elections opened on 18 February 2026. By the closing date of 25 March 2026, 22 nominations had been received, each meeting the requirements set out in the Constitution.

 

All candidates have adhered to a uniform format in preparing campaign pledges of no more than 100 words for the election platform. Beyond this, no further campaigning or electioneering is permitted.

2026年4月6日13時、在日英国商業会議所（BCCJ）2026–2027年度執行委員会選挙の投票を開始いたしました。本選挙は、来年度における当会の方向性を形づくる重要な選任でございます。22名の候補者の中から、15名が選出され、BCCJの運営を担うとともに、多様な会員層を代表することとなります。

 

すべての有権者には、2026年4月6日付で、本投票に参加するための個別かつ安全なアクセスコードをお送りしております。本選挙は、厳正なる秘密投票にて実施されます。

 

執行委員会の構成は、偶発的に決まるものではございません。判断力、経験、そして多角的な視点の均衡によって成り立つべきものです。選出される委員には、ビジネスコミュニティの多様性と水準を体現し、BCCJおよび会員の利益を推進するに足る見識とリーダーシップが求められます。

年次総会のご案内

 

2026–2027年度執行委員会選挙の結果は、2026年4月23日の年次総会にて発表されます。すべての会員の皆様にご参加いただけますが、各社からのご参加は代表者1名まで、プラチナ会員は2名までに限られます。

 

参加は任意ですが、ぜひスケジュールの優先事項として年次総会へのご出席をご検討ください。

執行委員会選挙は、在日英国商業会議所（BCCJ）の2026–2027年度の戦略的方向性を導く委員を選出する重要な選挙です。BCCJ定款に基づき、執行委員会は12名以上15名以下で構成されます。

 

2026–2027年度の執行委員会および会頭選挙の立候補期間は、2026年2月18日に開始され、締切の2026年3月25日までに、定款の要件を満たした22件の立候補がありました。

 

すべての候補者は、選挙公約を100語以内に統一した形式で作成しております。それ以外のキャンペーン活動や選挙運動は一切認められておりません。
