Three Years Together: Forvis Mazars Returns as Sapphire Partner for BBA2026
The British Chamber of Commerce in Japan is delighted to welcome Forvis Mazars back to the British Business Awards for a third consecutive year, joining The Nineteenth Evening as a Sapphire Partner for 2026.
It is a partnership that has quietly grown alongside a significant chapter in the Forvis Mazars story. The firm first joined the British Business Awards as a Gold Sponsor in 2024, returning as a Silver Sponsor in 2025 and now continuing its support into a third year.
That first BBA partnership came in a landmark year for the organisation itself. June 2024 saw the creation of Forvis Mazars, bringing together the international reach of Mazars and FORVIS in the United States under a new global network and a single brand.
Three years later, both the name and its presence in Japan have become increasingly familiar across our business community.
Today, more than 350 professionals make up Forvis Mazars in Japan, supporting organisations ranging from start-ups and NPOs to international groups and Japanese listed companies across audit and assurance, tax, financial advisory, consulting and outsourcing. Globally, the organisation extends to some 40,000 professionals across more than 100 countries and territories.
That international reach has particular resonance in Japan, where the realities of doing business across borders sit at the heart of much of the firm's work.
In April 2026, Forvis Mazars in Japan was selected by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) as an official advisor for its Trade and Investment Consultation Services in international taxation and accounting. Through the programme, the team provides expertise to businesses navigating increasingly complex international tax, accounting and investment considerations involving Japan.
It is a natural extension of a practice that has long worked between markets: helping international companies establish and develop their presence in Japan while supporting Japanese businesses as they look outward, including through Forvis Mazars' overseas Japan Desks.
At the centre of the firm's relationship with the BCCJ is Jean-François Salzmann, Managing Partner of Forvis Mazars in Japan and Chairman of Forvis Mazars Asia Pacific. With more than three decades of international professional experience spanning Europe, China and Japan, Jean-François has become a familiar and valued member of the wider BCCJ community.
