Nine Years of Warmth: Argentum Wealth Management Returns as Sapphire Partner for the British Business Awards 2026
The British Chamber of Commerce in Japan feels incredible warmth to once more announce Argentum Wealth Management as a supporter of the British Business Awards 2026, this year as a Sapphire Partner.
It is the ninth consecutive year that the Tokyo-based financial advisory firm has supported the awards, and gives this year’s announcement a significance beyond the event in November.
Since 2017, the BCCJ has grown considerably. Its membership has expanded, its programme of events and activities have changed, the team itself has evolved and we have welcomed and fairwelled nine distinct, elected executive committees.

As with this, The British Business Awards has also evolved in many ways, but for nearly a decade, Argentum Wealth Management have remained our most ardent of supporters.

Nine years for Nineteen. What do you think has changed most since your inaugural partnership with the BBA?
The British Business Awards have really grown and evolved under Sarah Backley’s leadership. It’s become a bigger, more modern event, and frankly, it’s also a lot more fun. We’re really looking forward to the new venue this year, which I think reflects where the BCCJ is today. It’s always one of the highlights of the year for us, and an event we genuinely look forward to attending.
What does partnership with the BCCJ and BBA mean to Argentum Wealth?
It means being involved in the expat community, which has always been important to us. Argentum is very much embedded in the international community in Japan, and we’ve built long-standing relationships and friendships with many of the people involved. The partnership is also an opportunity for us to give back and support the BCCJ and the excellent work it does in strengthening UK-Japan relations.
Next year we will celebrate our 20th anniversary, which would coincide with a potential 10th year as partner. How does it feel to have been a cornerstone in helping the BCCJ continue to grow and expand the - now - largest event for the UK-Japan business community?
That’s actually quite fitting, as next year also marks Argentum’s 20th anniversary, so we have something in common there. We’re very happy to have grown alongside the BCCJ and to have been part of the community for nearly 10 years. It’s been a great relationship, and we look forward to continuing it for many years to come.
