Nihon Cyber Defence (NCD), a Tokyo headquartered cyber security company, are delighted to announce their continued expansion and development in the UK with the opening of a new Manchester base to complement the UK and European Headquarters in Belfast, which is also expanding into a new larger Belfast site. These expansions are complemented by adding more experienced UK expertise to the team and Ally Burns now joins NCD as the Head of Incident Management – Europe. Ally brings a wealth of cyber experience after a highly successful career in law enforcement and joins Dougie Grant and John Noble CBE bringing the UK expertise into NCD and enhancing Japanese cyber capability being delivered globally.

NCD are now also NCSC Industry 100 members and Dougie Grant, with his vast experience in government, law enforcement and public sector incident management, is supporting NCSC in the development of the Northern Ireland cyber landscape which was demonstrated so effectively at the recent Cyber UK flagship event in Belfast last month.

This expertise has been recognised with recent new contracts for Nihon Cyber Defence being awarded delivering incident management services to local UK government and new partnerships with major UK cyber service suppliers.

Cartan McLaughlin, founder and CEO of Nihon Cyber Defence in Japan, stated “As an NCSC Industry 100 member and a Japanese company, we welcome the focus on public-private partnerships in the Japan-UK Cyber Partnership. NCDs success could not have been achieved without the support of the UK mission in Japan and the team of key former UK government personnel such as John Noble CBE that helped found the company and deepen the partnership between Japan and the UK”.
