Why did you join the BCCJ?
After 15 years of successful operations in the Japanese domestic market, R. T. Diamonds is entering a new chapter of international growth. We joined the BCCJ to bridge the gap between Japan’s specialised diamond market and the global business community. Our goal is to offer our niche expertise to the UK-Japan corridor, supporting both the resident expat community and our future strategic expansion into the UK market.
What do you most hope to gain from your time as a member?
We aim to establish ourselves as a key resource for thought leadership within the luxury sector. By sharing our deep knowledge of natural fancy colour diamonds, we hope to educate members on the intersection of fine jewellery and alternative investments. Furthermore, we look forward to building long-term synergies with fellow premium brands to create exclusive, high-value experiences for our shared audience.
What makes your organisation unique in your industry or market?
R.T. Diamonds holds the largest collection of rare natural fancy colour diamonds in Japan, including world-class specimens of Red, Blue, Pink, Green, and Orange stones. What truly sets us apart is our three-generation heritage of expertise, combined with a modern, fully bilingual boutique service. We fill a vital market gap by providing international clients with the transparency of global standards alongside the meticulous hospitality for which Japan is known.
What recent achievements or milestones are you most proud of?
We are particularly proud of establishing the Japan Fancy Color Diamond Association (JFCDA), an initiative dedicated to elevating industry standards and education. Our commitment to transparency and expertise has led to numerous invitations to conduct professional seminars, as well as being featured in national TV interviews as the primary authority on rare colour diamonds in Japan.
What kind of collaborations or connections are you most interested in building through the BCCJ?
We welcome collaborations with fellow BCCJ members across the luxury lifestyle, private aviation, high-end hospitality, and professional services sectors to create exclusive experiences for shared HNW audiences. Beyond marketing, we are keen to host educational workshops or private viewing events for BCCJ members and would welcome opportunities to support Chamber charity auctions with unique gemstone contributions.
