New Member: Dekunovers Inc.
The British Chamber of Commerce in Japan is delighted to welcome Dekunovers Inc. to our ever-expanding membership base. Founded in 2010, Dekunovers Inc. is a Japan-based food and hospitality company creating memorable dining experiences for corporate, private and international clients. Through their culinary brand Sans nom, Dekunovers provide bespoke catering, premium bento, sushi experiences and full-course dining, with each menu designed around the occasion, the guests and the story their clients wish to tell.
The name Sans nom means 'without a name.' It reflects our belief that the best dining experience should not be defined by a fixed format or a single restaurant concept. Instead, we bring a restaurant-quality experience directly to each client, creating something personal, flexible and unique to the setting. Whether the event is intimate or large-scale, our aim is to make guests feel genuinely welcomed and to create a lasting impression through food.

Our team has experience in fine dining, large-scale catering, product development and international events. This allows us to support a wide range of occasions, from executive breakfasts and embassy receptions to corporate celebrations, private dinners and large events. We place particular importance on clear communication, reliable operations and thoughtful hospitality, especially when working with international guests and complex dietary requirements. We understand that successful catering is not only about the menu, but also about timing, presentation, safety and seamless coordination.
Food safety and inclusivity are central to our approach. We aim to accommodate allergies, vegetarian, vegan and other dietary needs wherever possible, while maintaining the quality and visual appeal of each dish. We also seek to minimise the use of artificial seasonings and to highlight seasonal Japanese ingredients, local producers and carefully selected products.
Sustainability is another important part of our work. Through initiatives such as UP!FEAST, we transform high-quality food by-products and surplus ingredients into new products, helping to reduce waste while creating additional value. We believe sustainability should be practical, delicious and accessible, rather than treated as a separate concept from everyday hospitality.
With operations across Tokyo, Kanagawa and Aichi, and plans to continue expanding our reach, we are building a hospitality company that can connect people through food. Our goal is to combine Japanese craftsmanship and attention to detail with the flexibility required by international clients.
By joining the BCCJ, we hope to develop long-term relationships with organisations that value quality, trust and cultural exchange. We look forward to contributing to the community through catering, collaboration and shared experiences, while learning from the diverse businesses and individuals within the BCCJ network.

'We believe that hospitality begins with understanding the people at the table. Through food, we hope to create moments where cultures meet, conversations begin and lasting relationships are formed.'

Why did you join the BCCJ?
We joined the BCCJ because we believe food and hospitality can play an important role in connecting Japanese and international communities. We hope to contribute our culinary experience to the network while building meaningful relationships with British and internationally minded organisations in Japan.
What do you most hope to gain from your time as a member?
We hope to gain a deeper understanding of the needs of international businesses and communities in Japan and to build long-term relationships based on trust. We are also looking forward to learning from the diverse knowledge, experience and perspectives of other BCCJ members.
What makes your organisation unique in your industry or market?
Our strength is our ability to provide a wide range of food experiences without being limited to one fixed format. From premium bento and large-scale catering to sushi experiences and private full-course dining, we create each service around the client, the guests and the occasion. We combine Japanese craftsmanship with flexibility, reliable operations and thoughtful support for dietary requirements.
What recent achievements or milestones are you most proud of?
We are particularly proud of our continued growth in large-scale event catering and hospitality services. Over the past year, we have successfully supported events ranging from intimate executive dining experiences to large-scale functions serving more than 2,500 guests. We have also expanded our work with embassies, international organisations, and global companies while continuing to strengthen our operational capabilities, food safety standards, and service quality across multiple regions in Japan.
What kind of collaborations or connections are you most interested in building through the BCCJ?
We are particularly interested in collaborating on corporate events, receptions, executive dining, cultural programmes and international gatherings. We would also welcome partnerships with organisations working in sustainability, hospitality, tourism and food innovation. Our aim is to develop long-term relationships rather than one-off catering opportunities and to contribute actively to the BCCJ community through food and hospitality.
