The British Chamber of Commerce in Japan warmly welcomes blanco LLC to our ever-expanding membership base. blanco LLC is a creative production company driven by the mission to 'Surprise, Delight, and Inspire.'

In blanco LLC's own words:

We redefine Japanese traditional culture through a contemporary lens, specializing in 'UNGAISOTEN,' an immersive Taiko (Japanese drumming) workshop designed specifically for international audiences and global business leaders.

UNGAISOTEN is a flagship cultural experience officially featured by 'Tokyo Tokyo,' the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's brand for promoting the city's unique charm. Based in our studio in West Tokyo, we provide authentic, hands-on instruction led by professional Taiko masters. More than just a tourist activity, our program is meticulously designed as a high-impact solution for Corporate Away Days and team-building retreats. By utilising the non-verbal communication inherent in traditional Japanese harmony and rhythm, we help organisations foster deep connections and psychological safety within their teams.

The exceptional quality and originality of our programs are powered by 'AMAKAKERU,' our revolutionary Taiko performance ensemble. Breaking away from conventional boundaries, AMAKAKERU blends traditional percussion with contemporary music to create a sound you have never heard before. Their dynamic and sophisticated performances provide a powerful energy to corporate ceremonies and gala events. At blanco LLC, we deliver the true essence of Japanese authenticity and unparalleled inspiration through both performance and participation.

Meet the CEO, Jun Murakami

'The resonance of Taiko is a universal language that speaks directly to the heart. Along with the spirit of our ensemble 'AMAKAKERU'—where tradition meets innovation—I am thrilled to join the BCCJ community. We look forward to co-creating moments of inspiration and fostering deeper resonance between the British and Japanese business communities through the powerful beat of the drum.'

Why did you join the BCCJ?

We joined the BCCJ to contribute to the British business community’s emphasis on team unity and well-being through the transformative power of Taiko. We aim to propose new forms of engagement that bridge cultures and energise organisations.

What value or outcomes do you most hope to achieve as a member?

We look forward to collaborating with HR and leadership teams to integrate our UNGAISOTEN workshops into Corporate Away Days and team-building initiatives. Additionally, we hope to serve as a creative partner for member companies, providing high-energy performances by AMAKAKERU for special ceremonies and events.

What is unique about your business in your industry/market?

Our uniqueness lies in our official recognition by the Tokyo Tokyo project and our innovative style that fuses contemporary music with tradition. We offer a rare blend of authenticity and innovation, providing an experience that goes beyond mere imitation of the past to offer a modern, world-class art form.

What recent achievement or milestone are you particularly proud of?

We are immensely proud to be featured by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Tokyo Tokyo project as a cultural icon representing the evolution of the city. Witnessing participants from diverse nationalities unite through a single rhythm and leave with smiles and renewed confidence is our greatest reward.

What kind of partnerships or connections do you hope to build through the BCCJ?

We seek connections with HR directors, Organisational Development leads, and Event Managers who want to provide their guests with a surprising and fresh stimulus. We aim to help companies maximise their energy by experiencing and resonating together through Taiko.
