Due to the pandemic, the Knights in White Lycra are once again thwarted in their attempts to hold the annual 500km charity cycle ride in October. However, recognizing that the needs of children in care do not diminish in a pandemic, KIWL has decided to divide and conquer. Each rider will attempt to complete the 500kms in either 4-10 days, individually or in small socially distanced groups, using their own daily routes from Tokyo without overnight stays.

A collection of the riders’ photos & videos will contribute to KIWL’s annual video (kindly produced by Custom Media) and will provide great exposure to loyal sponsors, not to mention, showcasing how the group is responsibly and successfully raising funds in a COVID-friendly manner.

Each rider will wear a mask. To that end, KIWL seeks a kind corporate sponsor to help produce bespoke masks in return for their logo on them and will mean they receive plenty of exposure on the video. A donation of Y100,000 to KIWL’s chosen children’s charity YouMeWe, will cover the production, with the remainder being a pure donation. If any BCCJ company would like to support this worthy cause, please reach out to KIWL Chair & Co-Founder, Rob Williams, [email protected]
