ESR Cayman Limited (“ESR” or the “Company”; SEHK Stock Code: 1821), the largest APAC focused logistics real estate platform, and BCCJ Platinum member, announces a S$200,000 donation to the NanoNASH PhD Scholarship Programme at the Department of Surgery, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (“NUS”).

The programme is specifically focussed on developing the medical application of nanotechnology – or nanomedicines, seeking to diagnose and treat fatty liver conditions in earlier stages and offering patients a chance of reversal of the disease. ESR’s donation will cover tuition fees and research costs over a four-year period for one student.

Non-Alcoholic Steato-Hepatitis (“NASH”), also known as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, is an emerging public health crisis affecting mainly Asians . It is strongly associated with the increase of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. It is an extremely common, silent, life-threatening disease that currently has no cure nor diagnostic tools.

Stuart Gibson, co-founder and co-CEO of ESR said, “CSR is at the heart of our company ethos. We continuously seek to contribute in a positive, meaningful way to the communities and environments where we do business, whether it is free child care in Japan, providing school library stocks in China or keeping girls in education in India we strive to make a positive and lasting contribution in our markets. ESR is very happy to form a philanthropic partnership with NUS and look forward to stronger collaboration in years to come.”
