Digital, Tech & Innovation Award Nominees: BBA 2025
This year, the British Business Awards celebrates the achievements of the UK–Japan business community across seven distinguished categories. We are delighted to share that a total of 48 eligible entries have been received for the 2025 edition.
Over the coming weeks, we will be announcing the nominees for each category.
To begin, we are pleased to introduce the four nominees for Digital, Tech & Innovation, each recognised for their forward-thinking approaches and accompanied by a summary of their submission to this year’s British Business Awards.
Nominees for Digital, Tech, & Innovation must have delivered exceptionally effective digital or technological innovation, services, or solutions in Japan within the past 12 months.

Hogan Lovells has transformed legal services delivery in Japan by deploying advanced AI and legal efficiency tools and technology, including the proprietary Eltemate CRAIG suite, Regulatory Pilot and Microsoft Copilot integration. These innovations streamline workflows, enhance compliance and deliver measurable value to clients, setting a new standard for digital integration in legal practice.

KEF JAPAN Co., Ltd.
Over the past year, KEF has advanced digital and acoustic innovation in Japan through pioneering products like the Soundbar, Muo wireless speaker, and Nothing headphones. By blending British engineering with Japanese design sensibility, KEF has redefined immersive listening experiences, delivering measurable growth and sector-shaping impact.

learningBOX, INC
Our award-winning e-learning platform improved national exam pass rates through an industry-academia project and streamlined operations for a major educational group, saving over 2,900 hours of administrative work. Our technology was also selected for a project by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications to support education in the Philippines.

Quantinuum K.K.
Quantinuum, a global leader in quantum computing, has driven innovation in Japan since 2019. In 2025, its ion-trap quantum computer REIMEI was installed at RIKEN and integrated with FUGAKU, Japan’s national flagship supercomputer—creating the world’s first hybrid HPC-quantum platform to power humanity’s next breakthroughs.
