'The British Shop' Opens in Tokyo Selling Selection of Home Comforts
The British Shop is the latest venture from Mark Spencer and his team—also known for levelling up the British pub scene in Japan through the Hobgoblin branches. Now, they’re bringing a new taste of home to Tokyo. Inside the ground-floor store, you’ll find a mouthwatering selection of British comfort foods—from an extensive range of chocolates, scones, pies, and sausage rolls to craft beers, ciders, cheeses, and, of course, baked beans (cue the fanfare).
We hope this shop will not only cater to the needs of expats and visitors alike, but also help shift perceptions of British food in Japan by offering a diverse range of premium products—from smoked salmon to English sparkling wine. If you find yourself in the area, we highly recommend stopping by for a treat—you may just leave with something you didn’t expect (but absolutely needed).
