BCCJ Members Thank & Bid Farewell to Ambassador Paul Madden

On February 16, 2021, BCCJ members came together to thank Ambassador Paul Madden CMG for his hard work and outstanding contributions to the UK-Japan relationship over the past 4-years.

Among other highlights during his tenure, Madden played a key role in bringing together the historic Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, and also the UK application to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership. On a more personal level, he has been an ever-present and supportive figure involving himself with local and British communities here in Japan. With that, the Chamber was delighted to share a final ‘Thank You’ for the relentless support Ambassador Madden has provided, and of course, all the wit, charm & waistcoats he has brought to the BCCJ’s British Business Awards each year.
