British Business Awards

What are the British Business Awards?

Debuting in 2014,  the British Business Awards (BBAs) Gala Event has recognised excellence, success and innovation across all industries in Japan. Hosted by the BCCJ, we are proud to be bringing together British and Japanese industry, creating connections, and celebrating success. The BBAs are a prestigious award showcasing the extent of British success in Japan.

Each year, the BBA offers six awards to companies around Japan. The six categories include Company of the Year, Entrepreneurialism, UK-Japan Partnership, Digi-tech Innovation,  Responsible Business, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). These six categories show the excellence of British businesses in Japan, highlighting key BCCJ values.

Tickets Will be available for purchace from Tuesday, 10th July.

How can my organisation be involved?

Nominations to the BBAs are a great opportunity for organisations to review business performance, highlight core strengths, and set benchmarks for industry standards. Nominations are judged against specific criteria, founded on the BBA values of success, innovation and ethics. The BBA employs a well-defined and tested framework to ensure that the judging process is fair and free of influence.

The handcrafted BBA trophy is a prestigious endorsement of an organisation's projects, initiatives, and achievements, and not only acknowledges a company as an industry leader in their category, but also acts as a valuable measure of success that can be used in communications to heighten publicity and credibility. Winners are encouraged and allowed to publicise their achievement in all of their marketing collateral (as per the defined conditions).

Companies are invited to put themselves in the running to win a British Business Award – the ultimate seal of approval for your business and a subject to talk about with clients for many years to come!

What do our previous winners say?

2024 BBA Winner: UK–Japan Partnership – PW Productions and Toho Co., Ltd.

"Theatre is very rarely recognised as a business, but it’s a serious business, and it’s wonderful to be recognised as that ... we’re so proud of getting the award because we had to build trust. It’s unusual in any business to do that in such a short period, but we did it.”

Iain Gillie, CEO of PW Productions
