Press Release from Robert Walters Japan:

Robert Walters Japan, a leading specialist recruitment and advisory firm, is excited to announce the launch of our new company initiative, “Professionals With Passion”. This innovative program is designed to support employees who excel not only in their roles at Robert Walters but also in their personal passions at a professional level. It reflects our commitment to powering our people, recognising that well-rounded individuals bring fresh perspectives and energy to our team.

We are proud to introduce three exceptional employees who have been selected for this program:

Manatsu Kosaka (Contractor Manager, Tokyo Commerce team): Manatsu’s passion is ballroom dancing, which she started seven years ago. Now, she participates in both shows and competitive performances. Belonging to the Japan Ballroom Dance Federation’s Amateur division, she currently ranks at Level B and aims to reach the highest tier, Level A.

Seiya Makino (Consultant, Osaka Technology & Transformation team): Formerly a professional tennis player, you will find Seiya on the tennis court after work where he has practiced since he was five years old. He has ranked 32nd in Japan, and he is determined to return to a top competitive level through this program.

Cole Spence (Invoicing Officer, Tokyo Central Contract team): Cole has developed his longtime passion of gaming into a serious talent, particularly for Super Smash Bros. He has competed in some of the biggest Super Smash Bros. tournaments in the United States and has been ranked in the Regional Power Rankings (Top 10 in the region).

As part of this initiative, Robert Walters Japan will provide the selected employees with the necessary resources to further develop their craft throughout a one-year period. This includes various support for activities such as equipment, participation fees for competitions and work schedule adjustments, ensuring they have sufficient time and resources to participate in events and competitions while maintaining the high performance required for their typical daily duties in the office.

At Robert Walters Japan, we believe in the power of a diverse workforce that champions the right for people to be their true, authentic selves. For us, diversity is not just about race, gender or age – it is about the unique story of each individual. Just like we take the time to listen to our candidates’ and clients’ stories that go beyond the resumes or job descriptions, we hope to foster an environment where employees’ stories are heard and celebrated.
