ESR Amagasaki Distribution Centre wins Gold MIPIM Asia Award

TOKYO/HONG KONG, 26 January 2021 – ESR Cayman Limited (“ESR” or the “Company”, together with its subsidiaries as the “Group”; SEHK Stock Code: 1821), the largest APAC focused logistics real estate platform, is delighted to announce that its flagship development in Japan, ESR Amagasaki Distribution Centre (“ESR Amagasaki DC”), has garnered the Gold Award in the category of “Best Infrastructure, Community & Civic Building” at the MIPIM Asia Awards 2020.
This category includes social and economic infrastructure developments and is aimed at recognising exceptional facilities and services which stimulate economic growth and improve quality of life. These include airports, train stations, hospitals, cultural centres, libraries, stadiums, government buildings, logistic centres and others.

ESR Amagasaki Distribution Centre – a six-storey, state-of-the-art facility with a GFA of 388,570 sqm – is the largest single-phase, single-asset logistics warehousing project in Japan and APAC. It is a prime infrastructure development strategically located at the centre of the country’s key logistics network, the Greater Osaka Metropolitan area (15km from Osaka CBD) – well-placed to service the Japanese domestic market, with excellent land, water, and air transportation access.
Built in collaboration with Taisei Corporation (Design), Takato Tamagami Architectural Design, Ltd. (Amenity Space Designer), Mio Watanabe Design Office, LLC. (Landscape Designer) and Taisei Joint Venture (Construction), the flagship development epitomises the highest quality specifications as well as the human-centric, green and sustainable designs for which ESR properties are renowned. It has been awarded a CASBEE (Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency) Class A certification and an ABINC (Association for Business Innovation in harmony with Nature and Community) certification.
