We are delighted to welcome Yagi Tsusho Ltd. as the newest Corporate member of the BCCJ!

Yagi Tsusho has been importing and promoting high-quality fashion goods, textiles and accessories from the UK to Japan since 1946. The company’s mission is to bring British heritage, culture, life-style and product excellence to the Japan market, through brands such as Barbour, J&M Davidson, and Mackintosh.

In 1998, the firm entered into an exclusive import and distribution agreement with Mackintosh Ltd. and in 2006 acquired the majority of the British company. Following the opening of Mackintosh’s flagship shop in Mount Street, Mayfair, London, in 2011, Yagi Tsusho opened Japan’s first flagship store in Aoyama, Tokyo on Aug 30 2012.

President and CEO of Yagi Tsusho, Yuzo Yagi OBE, explains: “We work together consistently with British brands to improve delivery options, fitting, customer service and communications for the Japan market. We have grown with and adapted to new market conditions after several years of trial and error, focusing not only on importing and selling UK fashion in Japan, but also investing in the British fashion industry. We are very proud to be in a position to convey British heritage and life style – the stories behind the products – to Japan”.
