We are delighted to welcome Rio Tinto Japan as the newest Corporate member of the BCCJ!

A leading global mining and metals company, Rio Tinto is headquartered in the UK, with assets and operations in over 40 countries. Rio Tinto Japan is Rio Tinto’s wholly owned subsidiary, engaged in sales and marketing activities in Japan.

Rio Tinto is one of the largest suppliers of resources to the Japanese market. Japan is Rio Tinto’s second largest market in terms of revenue and the firm procures a significant portion of mining machinery and equipment from Japanese companies. A number of Rio Tinto’s joint venture partners around the world are Japanese trading houses, steel manufacturers, power companies and / or manufacturing companies.
