**We are delighted to welcome Dagmusic Y.K. as the newest Entrepreneur member of the BCCJ!**
Dagmusic is a Sound Voice Studio based in Roppongi supplying musical, singing and voice acting talent.
A message from Dagmusic:
Ever wondered who that English voiceover is on TV, or who the singer is at a prestigious hotel, or where they recorded the voiceover for the anime you’re watching? Chances are Dagmusic provided the talent and maybe even the studio.
Established in Roppongi in 2004, Dagmusic has offices and a recording studio three minutes from Roppongi crossing. From an accidental beginning, where singer and voiceover professional Donna Burke was asked by a client to “find some new voices in Tokyo otherwise I’ll have to fly to LA”, Dagmusic has become a specialist in foreign voices, singers, composers and bands who are based in Tokyo — saving our clients valuable time and money on international travel.
Dagmusic coordinates over 300 recordings and events every year. Session singers are needed to record vocals for educational materials, TV commercials, games and anime.
Narrators and voice actors are required for documentaries, TV shows, corporate videos, anime, video games and educational materials for children and adults.
Composers who have an international feel are needed for background music in video games and even pachinko. Vocalists, bilingual MCs, DJs and jazz/rock/funk bands are need
ed for autoshows, luxury brand launches and corporate parties to give glitz and international
glamour to events.
Kids are needed (6-11) for recording CDs for Japanese children, educational materials and TV commercials. Our clients include NHK, Konami, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Sega, Koei Tecmo, Hori Pro, ALC, Seibido, Tokyo Shoseki, Benesse, ECC, DLE, Sony Music, Columbia Records, King Records, Hakuhodo and Dentsu. Dagmusic’s bilingual and bicultural staff offer our Japanese clients not just the right talent but also crucial guidance about which accents and type of voice to choose for different markets overseas.
Founder Donna Burke might be familiar to you from the Tokyo Comedy Store
improv show on the last Friday of every month at the Crocodile in Shibuya… and as the English voice on the Tokaido Shinkansen (that’s a posh Aussie accent by the way!) Director Bill Benfield might be seen playing at British pub What the Dickens with his band Kingsize…or just holding up the bar! We’re excited to become members (finally!) and look for
ward to meeting you in the future.
