Tokyo has been announced as the official host of the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics, following the international Olympics Committee’s (IOC) final round of voting in Buenos Aires on September 7. Tokyo beat Madrid and Istanbul to host the 2020 event, making Japan the first Asian country to have hosted the Games twice.
The BCCJ sends heartfelt congratulations to Japan, and very much looks forward to supporting the planning and execution of the greatest show on earth, in 2020.
