A message from Robert Walters Japan:

“We want to be the world’s leading specialist recruitment consultancy, the first name the world’s businesses choose whenever they need to hire the best.

But it’s not just about being the biggest, it’s about having a clear differentiation based on the quality of service delivered to our clients and our candidates. Our focus on quality in all we do, acting with integrity, and focusing on team-work are values that run through the heart of the business.

From the first office to the 24th country we believe in creating a fulfilling environment for our people to work in and instilling a belief in doing things the right way.

Hiring managers world-wide rely on us to find their very best specialist professionals. Why? Because those same hiring managers trust us to manage their long-term careers. We recruit across the accounting, banking, engineering, HR, IT, legal, sales & marketing, supply chain and support fields, focusing on building long-term relationships with clients and candidates.”

Robert Walters, founder and CEO of the eponymous company, will speak on how he developed the business from one office to a global recruitment consultancy at a BCCJ lunch event on Sep 15:

After three years at Touche Ross & Co. Robert Walters joined a major global recruitment firm as one of their very first employees.  After an eight year period which included setting up the New York office, he returned to London and established his own recruitment business in 1985, specialising in junior to middle management professional positions.  Since then the company has grown, largely organically, into different sectors and a variety of regional and international locations.   Robert Walters Plc is quoted on the London Stock Exchange and currently has offices in 24 countries.

The BCCJ would like to thank all our Platinum members AstraZeneca, BT Japan and GSK for their valuable contribution and continued support, and officially welcome Robert Walters to our Platinum ranks!
