Philippe Fauchet receives OBE: June 3rd, 2015

Philippe Fauchet has been awarded an OBE by UK Ambassador to Japan Tim Hitchens at an investiture ceremony held at the British Embassy Tokyo on June 3 2015.

Mr. Fauchet has played an ambassadorial role championing British and European life-science industry interests and mentoring new entrants to the Japanese market, been instrumental in bringing vaccines into the public health agenda and provided significant personal and corporate support to the Japanese people immediately following the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami in March 2011.

In so doing, Mr. Fauchet has demonstrated strong qualities of integrity and social responsibility, bringing real credit to the perception of Britain and benefits to British business interests in Japan and to wider Japanese society.

Mr. Fauchet is a member of the BCCJ Executive Committee, and is President of BCCJ Platinum member GlaxoSmithKline Japan.
