Last night, almost 300 guests attended our annual summer party, held on the rooftop terrace of one of Tokyo’s newest and most stylish venues, the ANDAZ Tokyo. BCCJ members spent a balmy July evening networking with other chamber colleagues, as well as the members of the Japan British Society (JBS) and Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), against an amazing skyline from the hotel’s 52nd floor.
In past years we’ve celebrated the 2012 London Olympics, the 400th year of UK/Japan relations (2013) and Shakespeare’s 450th birthday (2014). This year we showcased the continually ‘growing’ relations between Japan and the UK through the common connection of enjoying parties in the great outdoors. Guets were dressed in their best red, blue and white or floral patterned outfits to fit the special occasion!
Thank you to our sponsors: NEXT, Scottish Development International, Shangri-La Hotel, Wellies Hotel Karuizawa, and DIAGEO for generously donating prizes to last night’s event. Our prize draw winners went home with some lovely gifts ranging from Dundee cake to wine, afternoon tea and overnight stays.
This event was made possible with the support of ANDAZ’s General Manager, Arnaud de Saint Exupery and his team.
