Yesterday afternoon, a group of BCCJ members enjoyed a tour of one of Nomura Real Estate’s newest office locations.
Nomura Real Estate, one of the BCCJ’s longest standing Japanese corporate members, has recently opened the “Premium Midsized Office” (PMO) development in Tamachi, one of 18 such locations throughout Tokyo.
The outing was hosted by Mr Hatada, managing executive officer of Nomura Real Estate, who explained the features of the building – including several spacious open plan offices, a robust business contingency plan, adherance to Minato ward environmental specifications, and support for tenants in English and Japanese. Mr Hatada spent 9 years working for Nomura Holdings in the UK and says he is “very keen to support British businesses operating in Japan”.
In 1997, Nomura Real Estate collaborated with the BCCJ and the City of Yokohama, to open the British Industry Centre (BIC) in Yokohama Business Park (YBP), with support from the UK government and the British Embassy Tokyo.
BCCJ members who would like more information about the PMO concept, the YBP and / or other Nomura Real Estate business can contact Mr Hatada directly by email on [email protected].
