International Women’s Day (IWD) – celebrated globally on March 8 – is a global initiative that celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity in, among other places, the public and private sectors. Significant worldwide activity is witnessed each year on IWD worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements and rally for women’s equality.

This year, on the evening of March 7, the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan (BCCJ) is pleased to be partnering with the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Tokyo to mark International Women’s Day. We will be Inspiring Inclusivity (this year’s global IWD theme) by showcasing how business leaders are advancing equality within their organisations and industries, the latest figures on how investing in your workforce affects all aspects of performance, and what you can do to nurture an inclusive and welcoming working environment.

Our selection of inspiring women will share their insights and personal experiences on the topic, acknowledging the work already being done in organisations and communities to respond to workplace inequities, and addressing what the key roles are for individuals, corporates and governments in pushing the agenda forward and taking the strides needed to truly advance gender equity in the future. Guests will then enjoy an evening of specially-prepared refreshments and drinks, kindly sponsored by LSEG Tokyo.

VENUE: LSEG Tokyo 30F Akasaka Biz Tower 5-3-1 Akasaka Minato-ku
